About the Artist

Hello!

My name is Siobhan Guthrie. I am an artist and creator of Petite Bijou Arts. My inspiration comes from the natural world especially from my garden. I often base many of my landscape paintings on photographs from my travels around the UK and beyond!

I have also been commissioned for pet portraits as you will be able to see in my portfolio.

Petite Bijou Arts was born from my partner's name for me: Petite Bijou. Being small in stature, my artwork often celebrates the little gems in nature and in life.

In my Portfolio you will find my best paintings.

I am currently accepting commissions for pet portraits and other wildlife art.

For pet portraits I use acrylic mediums on stretched cotton canvas. However, I would also be open to suggestions for watercolour on paper. Each commission will be supplied with a unique certificate of authenticity signed by me, the artist. Please note that I can only ship to residents within the UK and I do not supply frames.

My current personal development work is exploring the wonderful world of flora and fauna based on flowers that grown in my garden. I am primarily focusing on developing my watercolour skills. I hope to produce another mini portfolio of work celebrating what we can grow in our urban and developed landscapes and the kinds of wildlife we can attract if we give nature a space to be. I aim to explore a variety of techniques and I hope you will enjoy following along this process with me.
